What Is Safety Flooring?

Safety flooring is a type of vinyl floor that helps to prevent slips. Every safety flooring undergoes tests prior to its release to determine just how slip resistant it is. This number determines where it is suitable to be used. For example, Altro Stronghold is rated PTV ≥55. This product is suitable for commercial kitchens where there is often water and grease. In contrast, Altro Walkway is rated PTV ≥ 36. This product is a general purpose safety flooring for used in areas that may be subject to the occasional spill. Just because it’s a functional floor, doesn’t mean it needs to be ugly, but we will get to that.
