Our Range
What is Rubber Flooring?
Rubber flooring is a resilient, heavy duty floor covering made from natural or synthetic rubber. It is engineered to withstand high foot traffic and everyday wear while maintaining comfort underfoot.
Available in sheet or tile format, rubber flooring provides excellent impact resistance, noise reduction and is available in a range of colours and styles. Its non-porous, easy clean surface makes it a popular choice where hygiene and durability are essential. Rubber flooring can also help reduce leg fatigue and improve overall comfort due to its softer feel underfoot.
Flexible Service Options
Quality Rubber Flooring Solutions
Rubber flooring is ideal for commercial areas that demand durability, comfort and performance (but not for wet rooms or continuously wet areas) as it is easy to maintain.
Typical applications include hospitals, clinics and healthcare facilities where it is quiet underfoot and hygienic, along with schools, other educational environments, transport hubs, airports or stadiums where there is high footfall.
There are also special rubber floor solutions where needed. For areas where demanding sound properties are required, the Noraplan Acoustic range offers a high footfall sound absorption improvement of 20 dB.
Whilst rubber flooring offers some natural slip resistance, for more demanding environments there is Noraplan Ultra Grip and for extreme areas such as golf clubs and ice rinks there is Norament 992 and Norament 992 grano.
Indoor shooting ranges can benefit from Norament 945 grano to prevent rebound and there are options for electrostatically conductive and electrostatically dissipative rubber flooring.
Indoor play areas are made eye catching and lifts functional with Polyfloor Noppe stud tiles, whilst remaining hard wearing and comfortable to walk on.
With options such as NORA rubber flooring and Polyflor Noppe stud tiles, we can tailor installations to match both functional and aesthetic requirements. Get in touch with us and we can find a suitable rubber flooring for you.

Rubber Flooring FAQs
Is rubber flooring easy to maintain?
Yes. Rubber flooring is non-porous and easy to clean. Regular sweeping and damp mopping are usually all that’s required.
Can rubber flooring handle heavy traffic?
Absolutely. Rubber is one of the most resilient commercial flooring materials, designed for continuous use in demanding environments like hospitals and transport hubs.
Is rubber flooring comfortable to walk on?
Yes. Rubber has natural elasticity, offering excellent underfoot comfort and reducing fatigue for people who spend long periods standing or moving.
Does rubber flooring absorb sound or help reduce noise?
Rubber is known for its acoustic benefits — it helps absorb sound, making it ideal for schools, offices, and healthcare settings and as shown above, there are specialist products to improve this further.
Can rubber flooring be used in wet rooms or swimming pool areas?
No. While rubber is water-resistant, it should not be used in areas that are constantly wet or areas likely to have regular contact with water. Other specialist flooring types such as safety vinyl should be used in those environments.
Is rubber flooring recyclable?
Yes, rubber flooring is recyclable and many ranges feature recycled content. Nora supplies all of its products in recyclable packaging which at Meadee flooring, we have facilities to recycle/reuse. Nora also reworks its waste products from its manufacturing process back into more flooring or if this is not possible, sells the waste products to specialty firms that rework it into something else such as rubber landing mats.
