Primary School in Bracknell

Brief

This independent primary school, situated in Berkshire, got in contact with us when they needed some new flooring in various areas of their school.

During an on-site visit, our estimator discussed the customer’s flooring requirements and measured all of the areas. Our estimator returned to our office to fully calculate the meterage required before submitting a quote, along with some various flooring options.

Process

The customer reviewed various samples, provided by us, before deciding on using Forbo Allura Flex 1.0 in central oak in the main hall, entrance way and library and Polyflor’s Polysafe Standard PUR in taupe in their kitchen area.

We have accommodated the customer’s request to install the flooring during the school holidays to avoid disrupting classes.

When we started the job, we began by applying a coat of primer and latex to the subfloor before laying down the new flooring.

Latex is used to create a smooth base for your flooring to be installed on. It doesn’t level the floor, as it follows the contours of the existing subfloor.

After the subfloor was prepared, we went ahead and installed the vinyl in all the areas, giving the place a fresh, modern look.
