Process
After establishing their flooring requirements and providing them with samples, they decided to go with Heckmondwike Supacord carpet tiles.
Heckmondwike Supacord carpet tiles consist of a heavy contract fibre bonded carpet and have a 6.2mm thickness.
The customer decided that they wanted a design incorporated into the flooring so opted to go with a main colour and a feature colour to create the design in the centre.
We applied a coat of primer and latex to the area and once the subfloor was prepared, continued to lay the carpet tiles tessellated, as per installation guidelines.
Result
The customer was very happy with the results and contacted us again in 2025, to install some new flooring in their toilet areas.
After our estimator visited the site to establish the requirements of the flooring and measure the area, we provided the customer with samples of various floor coverings.
The customer decided to go forward with Altro Classic 25 in graphite.
Altro Classic 25 is a 2.5mm flooring which provides lasting slip resistance and durability. It has a Pendulum Test Value (PTV) rating of ≥45 and an R11 slip rating.
On beginning the job, we uplifted the existing flooring and began preparing the subfloor. This included applying a coat of primer and latex to all areas to create a smooth surface.
Once the subfloor was prepared, we fitted the flooring, caped and coved the perimeters where it was required and welded any joins.
The new flooring created a clean look ready for the toilets to be installed.
