This local church is located in the heart of Reading. Having previously completed flooring works for this client in their hall and corridor, they contacted us again when they wanted new flooring in a further hall and adjacent areas.

Process
Having previously installed Forbo Allura Flex during our initial installation, the customer expressed their desire to continue this flooring throughout the other areas as they were very pleased with its performance and wanted to create a cohesive look throughout the venue.
It was agreed that we would undertake the work, which included:
- Uplift and disposal of old carpet
- Removal of residual foam layer
- Subfloor preparation including patch repairs with a smoothing compound
- Fitting of loose lay vinyl flooring – Forbo Allura Flex 1.0 LVT
- Installation of black sit on skirting in corridor at customer’s request
Forbo Allura Flex 1.0 LVT has a 5mm total thickness, incorporating a 1mm wear layer. For large installations, like this job, the product is designed to be installed on tackifier rather than be fully adhered to the subfloor to allow flexibility and a more environmentally friendly solution.
Result
The customer was thrilled with the result of their new flooring as it gave the space a modern and refreshed look.
