Accessible Wet Room Flooring

Most commonly, we have clients asking us for wet room flooring. This is where water falls directly onto the vinyl flooring. This is a popular choice as there’s no bath or shower tray to get into, it makes it accessible for wheelchair users or people with a carer accompanying them. Specialist floor coverings must be used here to ensure barefoot users don’t fall over, but neither do users in footwear.

Flooring for House Adaptations

We also work closely with builders who specialise in house adaptions and we have experience in this line of work, fitting seamless floor coverings throughout. We liaise with the builder to ensure the heights of the finished flooring will be suitable with the entrances and exits, to achieve a flush finish and make movement as easy as possible. In these scenarios, we usually fit a Luxury Vinyl Tile product as they are in plank format, and they can be laid throughout the living spaces without a transition. With the exception of a wet room, where we would install sheet vinyl.
